Optometrist
Dr. Harrison Van der Linde grew up in San Diego and graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Biological Sciences in 2013. Inspired by a strong bond formed with his own optometrist that began when he got his first pair of glasses at 8 years old, he pursued optometry and earned his Doctorate in Optometry from UC Berkeley in 2019.
During his training, he completed his externship at Miami VA, where he developed a passion and strength in managing ocular disease including glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. After graduating, Dr. Van worked at a private practice in Visalia, CA for 5 years, where he gained experience managing dry eye syndrome and helping pediatric patients, developing a passion for the lifelong impact that can be made on a child’s life by getting them in the right pair of glasses or contacts at a young age.
When he’s not prescribing glasses, Dr. Van enjoys spending time with his wife, Natalie, who is also a local physician. He grew up a competitive swimmer and enjoys running, going to baseball games or concerts, and is an avid guitar player.
